Over the past five years we have seen a number of insurers offer incentives to clients to cash out of their variable annuity benefits. Last week Ohio National filed something we hadn’t seen before: a program for clients to trade in their variable annuity with a living benefit for a fixed-index annuity – also with a living benefit.
