I’m up nice and early today, which is appropriate I think, given the topic of this post. The first month of the year is nearly done and, thankfully, I can say that I have been making good on some of my plans and goals. I can’t say that has always been the case.
The past few years I have been more disciplined on several fronts, one of them has been posting on the blog each month without fail and I am happy to say that I have done so the past two years. So, it’s a firm habit now and done on each last Friday. I also want each post done with minimal editing so I’m giving my unvarnished view of things. I think I’ve successfully done that as well.
This year my plan is to publish an issue of The Soleares Report every Monday with the exception of the holidays I take off. In the past it’s been my intention to do that but some weeks one of the following has happened: 1) I’ve gotten sidetracked or overloaded with the other work; and/or 2) have struggled to find something to write about.
Therefore, it could be that this year I will post a Monday report that is industry focused but more of a more reflective nature. I will give that a try and see how that works.
And, as this year progresses, I will be brainstorming ways I might make changes to the Soleares Research offerings. I am considering trimming down or eliminating some report types that are not so widely read in favor of those that are of greater interest; doing less filing-intensive work; and possibly weighing in on fresh subjects and product types. I will be querying subscribers about some such ideas, before I make any changes.
Can you believe that in April it will be twenty years since I officially got Soleares Research off the ground? It feels great to say that. I don’t know if I will do anything special to celebrate the anniversary, but I will do something modest perhaps, and send a hearty thank you to the readership. Actually, thanks in advance! And I wish you all the best in following through on your own resolutions, plans and objectives.
